Calling all critical care nursing and AHP researchers/research delivery staff

18th May 2018

A new network for nurses and AHP staff involved in critical care research is currently being developed. This network will be called:  The ‘UK AHPs/Nurses Network for Critical Care Research (UK ANCCR)

The vision is that this online network will provide a forum for nurses/AHPs working in critical care research, either as research nurses/AHPs, coordinators or independent researchers, as well as patients/families.

This network will complement and intersect with the workings of the UK Critical Care Research Group (UKCCRG), and the NIHR delivery of research. The annual forum of the UKCCRG annual conference would serve as an yearly face-to-face meeting opportunity for the network.

All health care professionals have a responsibility to promote a research and service improvement culture, yet there is currently no specific nursing or allied health care professional (AHP) network for those working in or leading critical care research.

The steering group are currently polling the research community to identify purpose, role, function and overall aims. If you are involved in research in any capacity, please fill in the following survey before :

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TJSPYXS. The survey will be open until Monday 4ht June 2018.

If you have any queries or questions, please contact the BACCN representative for this network: Suzanne Bench: benchs@lsbu.ac.uk
