Guidelines for Management of Tracheal Intubation in the Critically ill Patient
10th Jan 2018
The British Journal of Anaesthesia has just published Guidelines for management of tracheal intubation in the critically ill patient. These Guidelines provide best practice recommendations to airway management within the critically ill patient and are pertinent to all critical care and emergency nurses.
The BACCN was involved in the review process and actively endorses these Guidelines and advises that all critical care nurses read them and apply them to their practice.
The Guidelines can be downloaded at http://bjanaesthesia.org/article/S0007-0912(17)54060-X/pdf
You can also access a special article on the Guidelines at Guidelines for the Management of Tracheal Intubation.pdf
