Amy Douglas - Professional Advisor, BACCN Critical Care Matron, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Amy has worked in Critical Care since 2010 across ITU, Outreach, Acute Medicine and Respiratory care. She later stepped into the clinical Matron role and has since completed her MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
She has a strong passion for education, with particular interests in ITU rehabilitation, long-term respiratory management, and the early recognition of patient deterioration.
Amy is also committed to enhancing patient and family experience, contributing and leading on the ongoing review of the BACCN Visiting Position Statement.
Amy has been actively involved with the BACCN since 2013, supporting numerous study days and simulation events, when part of the central south committee.
She was co-opted to the National Board in 2018 and elected in 2019, initially serving as a Regional Advisor before progressing into her current position as Professional Advisor.
