Exploring Healthcare Workers’ Daily Lives and Wellbeing
PhD study by Dr. Olga Lainidi, University of Leeds
You are invited to take part in a short online study exploring how everyday communication happens in healthcare teams and how it relates to wellbeing. They are particularly interested in hearing from critical care nurses and staff, whose work often involves complex communication, rapid decision-making, and emotionally demanding situations. These decisions often carry emotional weight, especially in high-pressure environments like critical care, where teamwork and communication are vital for both patient safety and staff wellbeing.
The study forms part of a PhD project at the University of Leeds examining moments when staff choose to speak up or stay silent about work-related matters.
Participation involves:
- Completing one initial online questionnaire
- Filling a brief daily diary over seven days (5 minutes/daily)
All participants will be entered into two prize draws for a £50 and £100 GiftPay voucher.
Your experiences will help build evidence that reflects the real pressures and values of healthcare work, supporting positive change across the UK healthcare system.
